The Pioneers of Solar Powered Attic Fans

The concept around the attic fan is basically a plug and play device with no special tools required. All you need is a drill and a screwdriver to do the job. No cutting holes into your roof and worry about leaks which can lead to more problems than solved.

The idea was started when I was feeling heat coming off of my ceiling during the hot summer months. I realized that the attic vents on the market today are not user friendly when it comes to installation. If you’re going to cut a hole in the roof, then you better know what you’re doing unless you’re roofer by trade.

Inventor Bio

Keith Haubrich, the inventor of Simplivent. The idea came when my friends and I were talking about buying the attic vents to help cool the attic during hot summer months, but we realized that cutting holes in the roof was not going to be an easy task considering what tools were required to do the job. Using a skill saw to cut through the shingles was not a comforting thought knowing that the blade would be ruined and hopefully not hit any nails on top of that. Also, worrying about any kickbacks if not careful. You have to make sure you install the fan correctly or it will leak causing damage to your house in the long run.

Mr. Haubrich is a carpenter by profession. He holds an Associate of Science degree in computer aided design/drafting and a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration. He has been a member of the community for 15 years and is a lifelong resident of Florida.
